LED Wins ‘Best Wholesaler 1–5 Branches’ at the 2026 EW Awards

We are incredibly proud to announce that Lancashire Electrical Distributors (LED) has been named Best Wholesaler 1–5 Branches at the 2026 Electrical Wholesaler Awards in London.

The Electrical Wholesaler Awards celebrate excellence across the UK electrical industry, recognising the businesses, brands and individuals that continue to raise standards within the sector. To be recognised as the Best Wholesaler in the 1–5 Branch category is a fantastic achievement for our entire team.

A proud moment for an independent electrical wholesaler

Established in 1984, LED has been serving electricians, contractors, businesses and organisations across Greater Manchester and the North West for more than 40 years.

Today, we operate from our Stockport and Oldham branches, but our focus remains the same: combining competitive pricing and an extensive product range with the knowledgeable, personal service you expect from an independent electrical wholesaler.

Winning this award is particularly special because it recognises the hard work that goes on behind the scenes every day across both branches.

From our trade counter and sales teams to our warehouse and delivery drivers, everyone at LED plays a part in making sure our customers receive a fast, reliable and friendly service.

Growing LED while keeping service at the heart of the business

The last few years have been an exciting period of growth for LED.

Alongside our established Stockport branch, the addition of our Oldham branch has strengthened our presence across Greater Manchester and allowed us to support even more electrical contractors and businesses across the region.

We have continued to expand our product offering across electrical, lighting, ventilation, fire and safety, EV charging, tools, workwear and PPE, working closely with leading manufacturers and suppliers across the industry.

At the same time, LED has continued to develop its work across sectors including social housing, education, commercial, industrial, retail, residential and M&E contracting.

But as the business grows, we remain committed to the things that have always mattered to us: good stock availability, knowledgeable advice, competitive prices, quick quotations and dependable local delivery.

Thank you to Team LED

This award belongs to our entire team.

As a relatively small independent business, we know that our people are one of our biggest strengths. Their experience, product knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile for customers are what make LED what it is today.

A huge thank you to everyone across our Stockport and Oldham branches for the hard work they put in throughout the year.

We would also like to thank our customers for their continued loyalty and support, our suppliers and manufacturing partners, and AWEBB for its ongoing support of independent electrical wholesalers.

Winning Best Wholesaler 1–5 Branches 2026 is a milestone we are extremely proud of – and one we hope to build on as LED continues to grow.
